GEOWEB Load Support System for Ballast StabilizationProject Highlight: GEOWEB® Load Support System Used for Ballast Reinforcement - Problem: The contractor had to repair a section of railroad and only had a track shutdown window of 48 hours to complete the work. They had replaced ballast in this section before and still had settlement issues, so they needed a better solution that was quick to install. Solution: They were going to rebuild the section and use asphalt under the track, but they went with GEOWEB for speed and control of the project timeline — no waiting on asphalt plants or trucking. The Presto GEOWEB® Load Support System, added on top of the geotextile, confines the infill. This prevents lateral movement of the aggregate, locking it in place, and provides a stable base that can support dynamic, heavy loads...Keep Reading

Presto GEOPAVE Porous PavementPorous Pavement Webinar | Click to Watch Recording - Join Bill Murphy, P.E. & Sam Justice, P.E. from Presto Geosystems as they discuss porous pavement solutions. Today’s increasingly stringent stormwater regulations continue to create the need for stormwater management. The preferred method is to retain the stormwater on-site rather than having it move off-site through overland flow or into storm sewers. Typical solutions—retention or detention ponds—are expensive to construct, occupy valuable land, require significant maintenance, present safety hazards, and are unattractive nuisances. An alternative solution is to reduce the amount of impermeable surface on the site. Rigid and flexible plastic porous pavement systems provide a low-cost, easy-to-install surface designed to handle the most demanding load requirements. The porous pavers from Presto Geosystems can have a vegetated or aggregate infill, depending on your project needs

Concrete Canvas for Erosion ControlConcrete Canvas Webinar | November 8th | 10:30am-11:30am PST | Register to Attend - Join Bill Murphy, P.E. & Nathan Ivy to learn more about Concrete Canvas®. Designed specifically for erosion control and containment, Concrete Canvas® (CC) products are part of a revolutionary class of new, innovative materials called Geosynthetic Cementitious Composite Mats (GCCMs). CC is a flexible, concrete-filled geosynthetic that provides a thin and durable concrete layer when hydrated. Concrete Canvas® can be used in a variety of ways including, as a low-carbon solution for renewable energy projects, as an alternative solution to standard traditional concrete lining, or as a hard-armored impermeable solution for engineering and infrastructure applications. We’ll cover CC product details, benefits, applications, installation methods and more in this webinar.

InstaTurf for Pondbank StabilizationProduct Profile: InstaTurf - Simulated Turf Structural Erosion Control - InstaTurf is a soft armoring erosion control product consisting of a green, simulated turf backed with an engineered geotextile filtration fabric. InstaTurf is a vegetated alternative to rock rip rap and shows great results at a fraction of the cost. It protects against erosion and scouring while helping grow and reinforce natural vegetation. Additionally, vegetated channels support stormwater filtering, infiltration and shear stress reduction. InstaTurf has many applications and is an optimal solution for high-flow channels, spillways, shorelines, drip lines and other critical areas that are traditionally difficult to vegetate...Keep Reading
